Mailmans

Today my mom told me to write about something that's upsetting me.

These mailmans are so late. I am so mad at them. I ordered two things. One is supposed to come tomorrow but one is 3days late. 😠😠😠💔👹Whyyyyyyyyy ? I'mwaiting for these mailmans to get my packages and their butts over here. 😜

Everyday I wait for the mail and go check the mailbox out. When I finally think it's here, there's no mail today.

I bought a mega steelix that is two types and a big zygarde pack for only 20 bucks. That is a great deal! And shipping is free! 💩 And I used my birthday money. I got A LOT of money from my grandpa, Nana.🥳🤑

Mail still hasn't come though for today so there's still hope 🤞🏽

I Want a Dog by Zahra and zayd

Here are 3 reasons I want a dog:

1. to run with me
2. to snuggle with  me
3. and to play fetch with me

I want a dog that is small. His name will be zoom.

We will get him from the pound.

I would like if he is a she.

Distance Learning, far from my heart

There've definitely been weeks when I felt like I was suffering under the weight of distance learning and about to stage a revolt. But last week we had three days when we finished all of our work by 1 p.m. That's about 6 hours earlier than our latest day. 

Yesterday, thanks to one app being broken and thus the assignment cancelled, we were done by noon. Noon!! We fit so much wonderful stuff into our rediscovered free time: art, Urdu, ZZ had his first virtual Islamic Sunday School class, we killed it! I felt euphoric by five pm and exhausted by seven. Ha ha.

In the end, I have such mixed feelings about how it all worked out, though. The free time was great and I was so happy we crushed school in time to earn it. But also, I want to spend all of our time doing learning and play time together. It's not a surprise, but I prefer being in charge. And four+ hours of app learning each day seems to prevent that.

So, today I filled out the distance learning survey and held no punches. We also did haircuts, melted crayon art, and a bike ride before I ever checked in on their school work situation. So, well likely be doing schoolwork until late. We'll see how I feel tomorrow.

Surviving Corona with Legos by Zayd

My mom wants me to write about building with Legos during our Social Distancing.

My mom makes me do Lego challenges with our neighbors and it's pretty fun.  My Legos for the challenge are supposed to be robots to help you during Corona. They are cleaning robots and some can take you on a ride somewhere because you can't go anywhere during Corona, and another one cooks.

And we've been catching up on Lego Masters. I want Mark and Boone to win. But I wanted Aaron and Christian to win but they got out last week.

My favorite thing to do during Corona is play video games and watch a bunch of TV but I don't like doing homeschool.

Fun times at home by Zahra

My mom wants us to write about the different games and fun things we are doing while we're stuck at home. 

Board games we play are Ramen Fury, and Settlers of Catan. My favorite game is Mastermind and I have played that with my mom. I want to play King of Tokyo next time we play a game. 

My mom let us watch two episodes of the Simpsons. It wasn't as good as I thought it would be, but it is good. 

My mom and I have done a lot of baking. We have made: bread, cake, rice Krispies, brownies, and no dinner, cookie cake, cookies! 

We have done this stretching app and I like it because i like it.

I wish we did more sewing, so mom and I are going to sew masks right now!
