Bruno, Evie and George, our Tortoise Friends

ZZ's Post Pandemic Bash

Honestly, with the bubble we have in our neighborhood, the big kids and I have fared quite well in Covid, but we worry about ZZ. His number one person in the world is Joe Joe as he tells me every time we talk about him. I am third, if you must know, and I'm fine with that honorable position.

This weekend we were able to have Joe over for a mask to play date in the backyard for many hours and it was wonderful.  ZZ was excited to count down the days all week and even tried to rush through dinners so night time would come sooner and we'd be closer to Sunday. They had a beautiful time together and I think ZZ was so happy to be with Joe and to know that he'd see him again next weekend. My sweet baby's joy definitely brought me to happy tears.

Then at night, when I was putting him into bed, his little heart warmed as he conjured up a grand idea. He asked me if we could have a big party and put all the chairs in a circle and have Nani and Nana and Umma Chi and Sonia and Uncle Jon and Nini and Joe Joe and the Little Pezes and everybody we love sit together. Then he could go around and sit in different seats next to different people all at one time.

And I cried again and said definitely. We'll call it ZZ's Post Pandemic Bash and I will be sure to acquire folding chairs and set them up just right.
